I was born and raised in Gaston County, graduated from Ashbrook High School, went on to Brevard Junior College for two years, where I studied Liberal Arts. My formal education came from four years at the College of Charleston in South Carolina, where I majored in Political Science and minored in International Law. My first career after finishing college, was as a Regional Director for Good Will Publishers (a local International Public Relations Company that improves the lives of children and communities through the distribution of value oriented books). In the fall of 1999, I set out on a new career in the yacht industry. I immersed myself in custom yacht sales and construction. This is where I learned the "ins" and "outs" of quality customized construction, repair, and customer protection. I worked closely with marine insurance and finance companies. Through these experiences, I learned the importance of quality fit and finish.
After these life’s experiences, I was looking for a way to make a living and also make a difference in my community. I found that in Collision Safety Consultants. By reinspecting wrecked automobiles that have been fixed, I can make sure that families are safe by reassuring that their vehicle was repaired correctly; thus came the inception of Collision Safety Consultants.
By inspecting Collision repairs, I am able to assure the safety of your family by making sure that the repair shop and Insurance Company used proper parts and that your vehicle meets manufactures specifications, as well as current highway safety laws. My job is to review claims, repairs, and have the actual vehicles inspected by professionals. I am I-CAR certified in Collision Repair Processes, Advance High-Strength Steel, Corrosion Protection and Inspecting Repairs for Quality Control along with being Haz Mat (Hazwoper) certified. I am also a North & South Carolina Licensed Motor-Vehicle Damaged Appraiser as well as a Nationally Certified Child Passenger Seat Technician. On December 13th, 2012, I was appointed by the Gaston County Board of Commissioners to the Gaston County Transportation Board and the Gaston County Travel and Tourism Board. In February 2013, I was also appointed by the Gaston County Metro YMCA Board of Directors to the local Stowe YMCA Belmont Board for a 3 year term. In May of 2016, I was invited by Commisioner Wayne Goodwin to serve on the North Carolina Department of insurance Consumer Assistance Group committee. I graciously accepted and I look forward to helping all North Carolina consumers and businesses with property damage claims as well as medical assistance issues. In June of 2016, I was asked and I have agreed to serve as a Case Specialist on behalf of Arbitration Advocates, LLC representing American Honda, Volkswagen of America, Audi of America, Porsche Cars North America and Hyundai Motor America.
Our inspectors have over 40 years experience in the collision and auto repair industry. With their expertise, they sometimes find that the Insurance Company may owe you additional money as a result of poor workmanship by the shop that they recommended and in some cases the shops are Direct Repair facilities (DRP). We find that many vehicles are not being repaired correctly. Thus we have uncovered vehicles that were declared total losses after repairs were completed.
My services are offered at very low affordable prices to my customers. My goal at CSC is to make sure that North Carolina vehicles are being repaired under safety guidelines and that your vehicle is returned to you at pre-accident condition in regards to function, safety, appearance and value. In addition to making sure North Carolina auto repair facilities are doing their jobs correctly; we are also making sure that the Insurance Companies are not taking advantage of their customers. We turn some of our data over to the North Carolina Insurance Commissioners office, at their request.
